I was curious about the position of Spotify as host of Rogan's Podcast. As I understand it Internet platforms escaped the responsibilities of a publisher by claiming that they were merely conduits for other people's content, yet I read that Spotify have paid Rogan a significant sum to bring his podcast to their platform. How is this different to - say - a newspaper shelling out for a star columnist?
