Dermot -- I did get Helen's surname wrong, and am duly mortified. It's now corrected in the online version of the blog. Lapses like this are a product of poor proofreading under time pressure. (I write the blog towards the end of days which can sometimes be very busy -- as yesterday was.). But that's an explanation, not an excuse. Thanks for alerting me.

Do think you’ve got Helen Thompson’s surname wrong. Unless, with your Cambridge connections, you know more than I do!
